Our Registered Psychologists work with a variety of ages, individuals, couples and groups. We each have our own specialties ranging from anxiety, depression, trauma, LGBTQIA2+, , relationship, self esteem/ self-identity, life transition, racism, family of origin, current family issues, parenting, trauma issues, and workplace issues, plus many more. Sharon Makanga
As a Clinical Social Worker, I am registered with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Work. I graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Social Work degree in 2018. I also completed a certificate in Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan, focusing on Criminology and Addictions in 2018. I am currently working on a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
As a mother of three, I bring a personal understanding of family dynamics to my practice. My passion for art and learning fuels my commitment to providing the best possible care.
Over the past six years, I have worked within the Saskatchewan Health Authority, always maintaining a strong focus on cultural representation and advocacy, championing an anti-colonial approach.
I have also worked for a national employment family assistance program as a mental health psychotherapist working with clients to develop and implement personalized interventions and treatments. I am passionate about fostering resilience and supporting well-being through innovative, client-centered approaches. With client diversity, I agree that being a member of a visible minority strengthens me with the skills and resources to create safe spaces for individuals, families and communities.
